4iG Group continues its expansion in the Western Balkans
The corporate group set up subsidiary in North Macedonia
Following several successful acquisitions in Albania and Montenegro, 4iG Group started preparations to enter the North Macedonian market by having established a subsidiary "ONE Macedonia Telecommunications." Following the board decision last Friday, the new company was established by Antenna Hungária Zrt., a subsidiary of 4iG Group, which owns the telecommunications portfolio¹ of the info-communications group in Hungary and in the Western Balkans. The registration procedure has been completed today at the North Macedonian company registry, so with the establishment of this company, 4iG Group enters to the North Macedonian telecommunications market.
The founding of One Macedonia Telecommunications is the first important step for 4iG Group to become a significant new player
in North Macedonia. Alongside the professional collaborations, business, and operational synergies gained from prior experiences
in the region, the Macedonian government also supports 4iG Group market entry. The government expects that the arrival of
a new service provider increases market competition, improves the quality of telecommunications networks, so accelerate the
country’s digitalization.
Having completed with the registration process, Tamás Tábori is appointed the managing director of One Macedonia Telecommunications, who is the Deputy CEO responsible for telecommunications strategy at the group’s Hungarian parent company, 4iG Nyrt. In addition to the foundation, 4iG Group began preliminary consultations with the North Macedonian regulatory authority, the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEK), and selected local and international consultancy firms to support the group strategy implementation in the Western Balkan country. Along with 4iG Group own industry experts, ’Analysys Mason’, one of the largest global technology, media, and telecommunications consultancy companies, will play a leading role.

The newly incorporated One Macedonia Telecommunications’ business scope includes mobile-, landline fixed-, and satellite telecommunications services, wholesale and retail trade of telecommunications and IT products, as well as business consulting services.
As a member of the O-RAN Alliance, the 4iG Group is committed to using technology from credible and reliable suppliers as part of the so-called “clean network” initiative, which is a requirement set by the Macedonian government for a new market entrant. The registration of the new service provider’s websites was also initialized, so as the company will be accessible among others through the domains onemacedonia.mk and onetelekom.mk.
