Press Release

Recognised experts in us diplomacy join 4iG Group Advisory Board

  • ⁣In April 2025, two diplomats with considerable international experience and distinguished diplomatic careers join 4iG Group Advisory Board. ⁣
  • Richard Grenell, Special Presidential Envoy for Special Missions in the United States and former Acting Director of US National Intelligence; and Matt Mowers, President of Valcour LLC, a strategic consultancy firm, and former White House Senior Advisor, join the Board.
  • The two new members are to replace Sunil Sabharwal and Karen Tramontano stepping down following the completion of their mandates, with acknowledgement of their contributions.
  • Hungarian Minister of Energy, Csaba Lantos resigned from his advisory position on the Board, due to his expanded responsibilities in overseeing IT and electronic communications in recent months.

4iG Group established the Advisory Board in 2021, bringing together both domestic and international experts who, in addition to their personal recognition, contribute decades of experience and extensive networks to support the Group Board of Directors and Chairman. Following the successful operation of recent years, Richard Grenell and Matt Mowers, both professionals with distinguished diplomatic careers and outstanding international network, now join the Advisory Board of 4iG Group.

Richard Grenell is a prominent figure in American diplomacy and politics. He served as the U.S. State Department spokesperson at the United Nations for 8 years and was a voting member of the United Nations Security Council. In 2010, he founded his consulting company, Capitol Media Partners. From 2018 to 2020, he served as the US Ambassador to Germany and between 2019 and 2021, he had been working as the Special Presidential Envoy for Serbia and Kosovo Peace Negotiations. In 2020, Grenell was appointed Acting Director of National Intelligence in President Donald Trump administration. For his service, he received the United States National Security Medal, the highest national security honour of the USA. Starting in 2025, he serves as the U.S. Presidential Envoy for Special Missions.

Matt Mowers has spent decades working in politics and diplomacy. He previously served as a Senior White House Advisor at the U.S. Department of State, where he assisted the Secretary of State on key issues such as North Korea, immigration reform, and The Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS. Prior to his diplomatic roles, he served as a senior official on the Trump-Pence Presidential campaign and the subsequent transition team. He has also advised prominent political figures like Chris Christie, former Governor of New Jersey, and served as the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Republican Party. In 2020 and 2022, he ran as the Republican nominee for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District. He was also involved in several humanitarian initiatives, including the $6 billion US Global HIV Programme (PEPFAR), which saved over 15 million souls and prevented 2.6 million babies from being born with HIV. In 2023, he founded Valcour LLC, strategic consulting firm, where he currently serves as President.

Following the changes, the Advisory Board will continue its work with five permanent members from April: Borbála Czakó as the Chair of the Advisory Board and members Armin Papperger, CEO of Rheinmetall; William Wells, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Rothschild & Co; Richard Grenell, Presidential Envoy for Special Missions in the United States; and Matt Mowers, President of Valcour LLC.
