Government of North Macedonia supports 4iG Group’s intention to enter the market
The parties have signed a preliminary agreement for long-term cooperation to support the digital transformation of the Western Balkan country.
The government of North Macedonia and 4iG Group, one of the leading ICT companies in Hungary and the Western Balkans, have
signed a Memorandum of Understanding to accelerate the digital transformation of North Macedonia’s economy and infrastructure.
The document, which sets the foundation for long-term cooperation between the parties, outlines the opportunities for 4iG
Group to enter the telecommunications market in North Macedonia and identifies strategic target areas of future development
of telecommunications services and infrastructure in the Western Balkan country, where 4iG Group can participate in.
The preliminary agreement was signed in Skopje by Aleksandar Nikoloski, Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Minister of Transport and Communications, and Gellért Jászai, Chairman of 4iG Group. The document, which sets the foundation for long-term cooperation between the parties, outlines the opportunities for 4iG
Group to enter the telecommunications market in North Macedonia and defines the common goals for future cooperation:
- To improve customer experience by introducing state-of-the-art mobile and broadband technologies to provide faster and more reliable communication and internet services in the Western Balkan country.
- To implement investments in 5G, IoT, and AI-based cutting-edge technologies to develop the digital ecosystem in North Macedonia, considering the commitment of the North Macedonian government to the “Clean Network” initiative.
- To create new and quality jobs through the establishment of regional offices and operation centres, contributing to economic growth and long-term development.
- To minimise environmental impact and support the green initiatives of North Macedonia. To stimulate innovation, technological development and entrepreneurship in partnership with local economic actors.
The Memorandum of Understanding signed today between the Government of North Macedonia and 4iG Group is utterly in line with the “North Macedonia 2030 Sustainability Plan” and the Balkan country’s commitment to the “Clean Network” Programme. The partners will form a joint working group to promote cooperation, with the aim of exploring market opportunities and accelerating collaboration.
