Dr György Károlyi holds a degree in Economics from Corvinus University, Budapest and received his PhD in Finance from Corvinus University in 1995. He started his career at the Foreign Exchange Department of the Hungarian National Bank and worked for several financial institutions in Vienna from 1990 to 2022. From 1990 to 1997 he worked at Creditanstalt-Bankverein in International Business Relations, then in Central and Eastern European Institutional Equity Sales, followed by Investment Bank Austria. From 1998 to 1999 he was Head of Central and Eastern European Issuers at the Vienna Stock Exchange. Until 2016, he worked in equity sales at Raiffeisen Centrobank and from 2017 to 2022 as an insurance consultant in cooperation with ERGO Insurance-Volksbank Wien. Since January 2024, he has been the 4iG Group’s Director of Investor Relations and Capital Markets.
