RICHARD GRENELL, Member of the Advisory Board
Richard Grenell is an American diplomat who currently serves as President Donald Trump’s Envoy for Special Missions. Grenell
is also the President of the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.
Grenell also previously served as Acting Director of
National Intelligence overseeing the 18 intelligence agencies of the United States in President Donald Trump’s Cabinet, as
well as the United States Ambassador to Germany and as the Special Presidential Envoy for Serbia and Kosovo Peace Negotiations.
Grenell also ran the U.S government's global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality in the 69 countries where it is a crime
to be gay.
Grenell was a U.S. State Department political appointee at the United Nations from 2001-2008 and was a voting member of the
United Nations Security Council.
Grenell also was the foreign policy and national security spokesman for the GOP Presidential nominee during the 2012 presidential
campaign.
When Grenell was named as Acting Director of National Intelligence in February 2020, he became the first openly gay person
to serve in a President's Cabinet.
Grenell has been placed on the Iranian government's sanctions list for his work in what they call "promoting homosexuality".
Grenell has received the U.S. National Security Medal, the nation's highest security award, as well as the nation's highest
Medal of Honor from Kosovo and from
Serbia.
